Wake up to the irresistible aroma of authentic Chorizo de Cebu, one of Cebu's most iconic breakfast delicacies. Also known as Longganisa de Cebu, this traditional Filipino pork sausage belongs to the hamonada style—famous for its perfect balance of sweetness, savoury garlic, and aromatic spices.

Made from seasoned ground pork, Chorizo de Cebu develops a beautifully caramelised exterior when pan-fried, while remaining juicy and flavourful inside. Each bite delivers a delicious combination of sweet, garlicky, and slightly smoky flavours that Filipinos have loved for generations.

🍳 How to Cook

  1. Place the chorizo in a non-stick frying pan.
  2. Add about ¼ cup of water and cover the pan.
  3. Simmer over medium heat until the water evaporates. This gently cooks the sausage through.
  4. Once the water has dried up, the chorizo will begin to release its own natural oils.
  5. Fry for 3–5 minutes, turning occasionally, until evenly browned and lightly caramelised.
  6. Serve hot.
